P.R.A.Y. is Bible-based religious emblems program for Protestant and Independent Christian churches designed to bring children, youth, and families to Christ.

Roman Catholic
Catholic Cub Scouts are eligible to earn two distinct Religious Emblems. Both emblems are earned through completion of an easy-to-follow activity booklet that their parent/adult partner walks the scout through. This is great opportunity to teach your scout about your faith and make a personal connection through the activities. Upon completion of the Activity Book, one must obtain all required signatures that are on the final page of the book. After receiving all signatures, MAKE A COPY, mail the original page to the JDCCS through the instructions provided at the "Ordering Awards" link below. Emblems ordered by the end of March each year will be blessed and awarded to Scouts in a special Mass of Recognition that takes place in April. For our Pack, the Catholic Religious Emblems are provided through the JDCCS (Joliet Diocese Catholic Committee on Scouting). Earned during the Tiger and/or Wolf Ranks, this is the first of 4 Religious Emblems available for Catholic Scouting. Following a guided booklet, scouts may work with parents at home for all requirements of this emblem.

Earned during the Bear and/or Webelos Ranks, this is the second of 4 Religious Emblems available for Catholic Scouting. In our Joliet Diocese these emblems are awarded either at one's home parish with Pastor Engagement by the scouting family. Or at the annual Religious Recognitions Mass organized by the JDCCS (Joliet Diocese Committee of Catholic Scouting).

The other Roman Catholic Emblems are earned later on in the Troop Level: These awards include the Ed Altare Dei and Pope Pius XII. These awards are earned through classroom led learning organized through the Joliet Diocese Catholic Committee on Scouting.
Any scout that completes all four Emblems is also eligible to receive the "Pillars of Fath" Emblem.
